Forgotten Figures!

So I finished these a month ago and completely forgot to post them up. First up is a pair of Ashigaru with yari bases for my lifetime Samurai project. These figs are all 28mm metal figs from Kingsford Miniatures.

I've run out of the large decals for the sashimono unfortunately, and had to resort to the smaller size ones. So they look a little odd compared to the previous bases. And it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to get any more either, which is super shitty. Oh well.

And last up is a trio of rocket bikes. These 28mm resin figs are from Bombshell Miniatures.

Haven't been in much of a painting mood lately, I need to get myself motivated.

I also picked up a copy of Xenos Rampant after seeing it played on Bob's blog. Going to have to get this to the table sometime soon.

More Sci-fi Civilians

Recently finished the last of my Crooked Dice Sci-fi civilians. These are all 28mm metal figs from their Colony 87 line.

A great assortment of sci-fi figs.

Sci-fi Civvies

Finished some more sci-fi civilian figures late last week. These 28mm metal figs are from Crooked Dice Miniatures and are from their Colony 87 line of figs.

The Crooked Dice range has all sorts of civilian figs you'd see in a spaceport/town be it a frontier world or a world at the core of populated space. Tons of character to these figs.

On my paint table is the last batch of Colony 87 figs.

A Pair of Sci-fi Flyers

Last post of the year. Finished up a pair of science fiction flyers. Both of these 28mm resin figs are from Bombshell Miniatures. The first one is a V16 Windrunner Rocket Bike.

The next fig is a Mekkus Strafer from their Mekkus faction.

This fig originally came with the same short clear base as the rocket bike above and I thought it looked really odd basically just hovering nap-of-the-earth style so I made up a new base. This one uses a 60mm wood base, a brass rod and some ancient assorted bits I had lying around. A definite improvement from the short clear disk.

Terrain Pieces

Been a slow month, what with real life, heat, and other stuff. So what I've completed, I've piled into this one post and it's all terrain. First up is group of computer screens/consoles that Terry had 3D printed off for me.

Next up is a pair of guns that Terry had picked up at a garage sale. These will find use in Star Wars Legion. They're a little bigger than the correct scale but perfectly serviceable.

And finally are the pieces that should definitely find use in Stargrave. These are old GW 40K terrain pieces.

I'm starting to mass a decent collection of these. If only I could find more.

On my paint table right now are some more terrain pieces and I've got a pile of the Mantic terrain kits that I need to assemble and paint. I might be able to stick in a figure or two into the queue and it will probably be creatures for use in Stargrave.

More Sci-fi figs

Finished another batch of sci-fi figs recently. These 28mm figs will most certainly be seeing use in Stargrave. All these figs are resin (with some metal bits) and are from Bombshell Miniatures. All the figures in the next fours pics are from the Galactic Defense Force (GDF) faction from their Counterblast game. First up from left to right is a Shrinaar Sentry, an Alanti Commander and a Human Sentry.

Next is an Alanti security officer, an Illyrian Sentry and an Illyrian Ranger.

And finally is a cat in a space suit, which is just asking to be used as a loot token. What better loot piece could there be than having a ship's cat? And the fig on the right is a little robot that will probably see use as a Repairbot.

I'm going to be throwing myself into terrain construction for the next little while so there might not be very many figs coming out in the next month or two.

Protolene Infantry

One of the things I wanted to get done this year was finish painting up my 15mm sci-fi figs and get them to the table. So I dug out these Protolene infantry and painted them up. This actually was pretty much all the infantry I have for this faction.
These figs were from Critical Mass Games before they closed shop. Ral Partha Europe carries them now, which is nice as it would be a shame if all of CMG's lines disappeared. First up is two squads of Hunters with laser rifles.
Next is a squad of Hunters with particle cannons.
Next is a Hunter command squad.
This is a squad of Scout snipers.
And finally is this squad of Protolene Mercenaries.
I do have a bunch of mechs and power armour still to do for these guys, but they're down a ways in the queue.

Next post will probably be some Counterblast Mekkus figs.

Assorted Figures

It's been a while since I've posted anything, haven't been in a painting mood lately and I've had a number of other things going on.  With the Analogue Hobbies Annual Paint Challenge starting in a few weeks, I have been doing a fair bit of assembling and priming in preparation.  I've only got a few things painted up as seen below.

I'll start off with a group of six insect aliens.
I got these from someone at the club, I have no idea who the manufacturer is. They are made of metal. These have been sitting on my paint table in various stages of painting for well over a year.

Next up are two sets of Frostgrave figures. Figures are all metal. First up is a pair of hyenas that was released when the Frostgrave gnolls came out.
These actually turned out remarkably well (regardless of my shite pictures). I was worried that they would look like my typical crappy animal paint job, but they are quite nice.

Lastly is a trio of giant rats.
Not much to say about these, they're giant rats.

Sitting on my paint table right now is a large 28mm figure that I've been working on for quite a while. Hopefully this weekend I can actually get it closer to being finished.
