German Early-War Infantry

The other day I finished up a number of World War 2 German early-war infantry. These figures are plastic and are from Warlord Games.

I have to say that I prefer working with metal figures over plastic. I like the versatility of plastic sets but wow, for me, they take forever to build. Much prefer metal figures and metals I find tend to be better sculpted. At least plastics are cheap!

Next on my paint table are some War of 1812 figures.

  1. I feel the exact same way about metals and plastics. I was actually just gluing up some Warlord Games ECW musketeers this morning and was thinking "GAH! this takes forEVER!?"

    1. I'd usually work on them for 15-20 minute intervals as I couldn't stand it any more than that. Metal figure poses may not be as diverse and they may be more expensive but I enjoy them more. And I find that they actually paint up nicer for some reason.

  2. Well done Scott! Did the helmet decals come in the box or are they a separate purchase?

  3. Separate purchase. The decal sheet has a bunch more decals on it such as rank insignia, but I didn't feel like putting it on. Helmets was enough.
