Last of the French & Indian War

This will probably be my last post of the year, although there may be a slight chance that there will be a post in a couple days. So this post is the last of the eight boxes of French & Indian War figures I got from Jonathan a number of years ago. And this will pretty much complete this project, finally! These 28mm metal figs are a box of British Regulars from Warlord Games.

As the Analogue Hobbies Paint Challenge has started for this year, I'll probably have a decent number of posts over the coming three months. Next up on my paint table are some science fiction figs.

Stargrave & French & Indian War

It's been a long time since I've posted up anything. I didn't forget to post up painted stuff, I just haven't really painted anything. So this will be my first post in over 6 months. I've got two sets of figures completed. First up is a small assortment of Stargrave figures. These 28mm metal figs are from North Star Military Figures. 

From left to right they are a Rogue, Mystic, Mystic and Psionicist.

Next up is a box of French Compagnie de la Marines for French & Indian War. These 28mm metal figs are from Warlord Games.

On my table now is the last of my French & Indian War box sets, the British Regulars.

A little while ago I picked up this pair of books from Karwansaray Publishers (the guys who do Wargames Soldier & Strategy) for the Japanese Sengoku period.

If you plan on painting armies for this period, I would highly recommend getting these books before any others.

Fig Assortment

Been a while since I've posted, February was a wash, just had stuff on my mind. Looks like I forgot to post up some figs that I did over a month ago. So I'll probably drag this over a couple posts. First up is a pair of 28mm plastic Gricks from Wizkids Nolzur's Marvelous Miniatures D&D range.

Next is a pair of Flumphs from the same Wizkids range.

Next is lone Magmite. This 28mm metal fig is from Northstar Military Figures Frostgrave range.

I also finished a box of Warlord Games Woodlands Indians from their French and Indian War range.

French & Indian War Colonial Provincials

Finished this box of Colonial Provincial infantry. These 28mm metal figs are from Warlord Games.

They painted up nice and quickly. Good figs overall that highlighted one the things I really like about metal figs: they may cost more but they had ZERO assembly. Just clean up flash and ready for priming. This will complete my New Years goal for this year to get at least 100 French and Indian War figs done. In the Analogue Hobbies Paint Challenge which will be starting in roughly 3 weeks, I hope to get all my remaining F&IW figs done.

Next on my paint table is a pack of Rebel terrorists for Star Wars Legion. These figs are almost done so should be up in the next couple days hopefully. And that will be another resolution done also.

French & Indian War French Canadian Militia

Been a while since I've posted. I haven't got a lot done in the way of painting, I've mainly been assembling and priming figures and terrain. I did get the figures shown below finally done. These figures are 28mm metal French and Indian War French Canadian Militia from North Star Military Figures' Muskets and Tomahawks range. 

Sitting on my paint table right now are some more buildings and my remaining unpainted World War 2 French figures. I can knock off WW2 French pretty quickly so hopefully I'll get these finished and posted up in a more timely fashion. I've got a number of figs that I need to get painted up by the end of the year to satisfy my 2021 New Years resolutions.

British Regs & Maglev Terrain

Finished a few more French & Indian War figs and some terrain for Stargrave. The figs are 28mm metal figs from North Star Military Figures. These are British Regulars in Campaign Dress.

Next is some terrain. I got these from Chris years and years ago. No idea what they actually are. Some kind of framing thing maybe? Regardless, they've now been made into a pair of maglev tracks.

Each one is 44" long. End to end that should definitely cover most of the table. I have some more of these things but their heights vary. These are the tallest of the lot. Next post will be more terrain with hopefully a few figs.

F&IW Indians

Finished another small batch of figs. These are all 28mm metal figs. This first group is from North Star Military Figures' Muskets & Tomahawks line.

For the next group, I only remember where one of the figures is from.

The second figure on the left is from Warlord Games and came with the A Dark and Bloody Ground book for Black Powder. Great book by the way. The other three figs I'm not sure who the manufacturer is. They're either from Warlord, Sash & Saber, North Star or Galloping Major.

F&IW Part Who Knows

Finished yet more French & Indian War figures. First group are 28mm metal figs from North Star Military Figures and are part of their Muskets & Tomahawks range. These are a group of British Highland Light Infantry.

This is the first time I've painted tartan so I think they came out decently. Could use a few more black lines, but they look perfectly fine for the gaming table.

Next up is the British personality character pack from Warlord Games. These are 28mm metal figs. From left to right they are: Washington, Monroe and Wolfe.

On my table are some natives and some 15mm Ancients that I'm slowly grinding away on.

F&IW French Regulars

Finished my second box of French Regulars. These 28mm metal figs are from Warlord Games. Pics are crap but that's par for the course!

I really do like the Warlord Figures and they may be my favourite manufacturer for this period. And I'm probably done with painting white uniformed figs.

Samurai & Militia

Finished a couple more sets of figs in the past week. First group are 28mm metal Samurai. The samurai and teppo base are all from Kingsford Miniatures, the command base is from Steel Fist Miniatures. The figs are based up for Impetus and will definitely also see use once I get my hands on Commands and Colors Samurai Battles. First up is the samurai base.

Next up is the teppo base.

And finally is the command base. The mounted commander is Ishida Mitsunari, the losing general of the Battle of Sekigahara (with his head still attached).

The second batch of figs are for the French & Indian War. These 28mm metal figs are from Galloping Major Miniatures and are British Rangers/Backwoods Militia.
