Greek Skirmishers & More Board Games

Tonight I finally completed 4 base of Greek/Macedonian/Successor skirmishers tonight (finally!).

Last night I had some friends over and played a game of Britannia. Can't say I really enjoyed it that much. Unless you're on a turn where you've got a lot of troops and roll over everybody, it's rather boring. There's long periods where you can do a lot of nothing. One of the players ended up getting pinned in northern Scotland and in Wales and really couldn't do anything for a sizable chunk of the game. Congrats to Shane on winning. I also got in a couple games of Twilight Struggle. I love this game and can't get enough.

Next up on the paint table is a base of Phalangites, a base of medium cavalry and a foot general.

  1. How do you get the detail on the shields? I would be blind...

  2. Heh heh. They're Veni Vidi Vici transfers from their Hellenistic range. If I had tried to actually do it freehand they're would've been disastrous to say the least.

  3. They are looking real nice, and yes i think most minature painters end up half blind from hours of painting fine detail but man the figures look great when you get them on the table
